Vladimir Drobot - Biographical facts
- Born: October 30, 1941 in Novokuznetsk (Новокузнецк), Russia (formerly Stalinsk
(Сталинск), USSR). My father, Stefan, was a Jew from Krakow (Poland) who ended up in Siberia during the war. It was quite easy to end up in Siberia in these days. My mother, Natalie, was a native Russian.
- Left Siberia for Wrocław, Poland, in 1947. My father was allowed to return back to Poland right after the war and he arranged for my mother and myself to join him later. Wrocław was among the German cities given to Poland at the Yalta conference. In Germany it was called Breslau.
